2. Structure characteristics

The welding positioner is used typical cradle structure to adapt to the requirements of large tonnage welding. In order to reduce tilt torque, the middle beam is used U type to reduce the gravity height of work-piece.

It is composed of bilateral support, U-shaped beam, turnover mechanism, table, rotary mechanism, electric conduction device and electrical control.

● Support and U-shaped beam

U-shaped beam, two sides column, beam and table are all welding structural parts. The material quality of beam and table is Q345-B,and the others are all Q235-B. The thickness of main connection parts and steel plate carrying on the surface is equal or greater than 30-50 mm. U-shaped beam inner space distance is 5300 mm, and the distance from turning center to the u-shaped beam top is 400 mm.

● Turnover mechanism

It is located on both sides of support and its driven mode is bilateral, its biggest tilt angle is 110°, which means former turns 100°, latter turns 10°. The turnover mechanism transmission process: AC motor (11KW) → electromagnetic brake → worm gear reducer(1:50) → 20(M10)/143 → 20(M14)/122 → 20(M20)/138 (fan shaped is about170°). Each pinion uses 40 Cr forge piece, and tooth surface is hardening treatment.

Beam turnover bolster (φ240 mm) uses 45 #thermal refiningand, and sliding surface uses quenching treatment.

● Rotary mechanism

The rotary institution is located in the center of the U-shaped beam and is composed of the rotary table, the pivoting support and the rotation transmission mechanism. The work table adopts structure form of the subject welded and the fission connection, which means the main part is octagon whose across flats width is 4000mm and there are 8 knock-down strut beams whose outside diameter is 5 meters, external connected with the main part; and the connection strut beams are all box beams. The main part of work table is bilayer structure and it is adopted material quantity of Q345-B steel plate. And the thickness of plate is equal to or larger than 40mm. The sublayer and the flanks have many circular holes to increase dissipating heat. There are 8 T type slots for work-piece conveniently installing.

The rotary mechanism concrete transmission process: frequency conversion motor(22KW) → synchronous belt(1:1.5) → 47(M8)/21 and 21(M8)/47 → synchronous belt(1:1.5) → brake → planet-gear speed reducer (1:355) → 20(M20)/151(pivoting support) → table rotation.

Table pivoting support is adopted ROTHE ERDE XUZHOU, and the model is 012.60.2800 rhermostability type. Rolling element holder is stainless steel, and it is filled with equal or larger than 200 ° high temperature grease.

Anti-backlash gear device of rotary transmission is adopted BLM variable transimission route way to remove the drive gear clearance. A motor drives two sets of gear reducers and the output gear angle of one reducer is adjustable.

● Conductive device

Under the work table, there is conductive device which is connected to the rotary surface under table by copper knitting cables and 6 blocks of copper alloy graphite brushes. The max welding oriented current can reach 3000A.

● Electric control is composed of programmable controller (PLC) and ac variable frequency conversion control.

a.      Programmable controller (PLC) part

It is adopted Mitsubishi PLC programmable controller controls motor positive and negative moving.

Gear box shift is adopted electromagnetic clutch.

b.      AC frequency conversion control part

The system's main part is frequency conversion governor. It realizes speed controlled by adjusting the frequency. And the speed can be displayed by numeration table.

c.         Control device is composed of electric cabinet and remote control box.

There are power indicator, table rotary speed indicator, power toggle button, nearly control/remote select switch, front/back tilt button, positive and negative rotary button and alarm indication and alarm eliminate button on electric cabinet panel.

It is equipped with remote control box connected with 15m soft multicore cable There are power light, scram button, front/back tilt button, positive and negative rotary button and alarm indication and alarm eliminate button on remote control box panel .
